Boom Fantasy Bags Seed Venture Capital

   New York, New York  --  Internet fantasy sports company Boom Fantasy has raised $1.4 million in early-stage seed venture capital.

Boom runs live, online tournaments for fantasy sports leagues via its website.

Investors in the financing included Mark Pincus, Stanford StartX and Rubicon Venture Capital.

The company did not specify how it would use the funding proceeds, But said it will roll out its real-money product to additional states later in 2016.

Company CEO Stephen Murphy also cofounded the firm in April 2015.
