Big Switch Networks Nabs Growth Funding

   Santa Clara, California  --  Virtualization technology company Big Switch Networks has raised $48.5 million in growth stage venture capital investment.

Big Switch says that its mission is to "bring hyper scale networking to a broader audience."

The company provides fit-for-purpose products based on its networking technologies.

The investor syndicate included Morgenthaler Ventures, Index Ventures and others new and returning investors.

Big Switch said it would use the funding to continue to scale the company and expand its footprint geographically.
