Aira Accepts $3 Million Equity Venture Capital

La Jolla, California  --  Internet technology company Aira.IO has received $3 million in new venture capital equity funding, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Aira is developing visual interpretation technologies for low vision and blind people.

The company hopes to remove barriers for the visually impaired by the use of mobile technologies.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the proceeds.

A total of nine investors participated in the offering.

Aira is still seeking $350,000 in additional equity investment, according to the filing.
