Menlo Park, California -- North America venture capital database VentureDeal tracks venture capital debt transactions across more than 40 industries.
The below chart shows the number of 2015 venture capital debt deals by state: California topped the chart by a wide margin with 168 transactions with at least a debt component. In a distant second place, New York accounted for 55 transactions. In third place was Massachusetts with 43 transactions. Fourth and fifth place were Washington at 34 deals and Illinois at 23 respectively.
