Palo Alto, California -- Internet technology company Diffbot has landed $10 million in its first round of institutional venture capital funding.
Diffbot is developing web technologies that help to structure the world's knowledge and deliver it via APIs. Lead investors were Felicis Ventures and Tencent Holdings. Additional investors were Amplify Partners, Valor Equity Partners and notable Angels. The company said it would use the funding to accelerate its product development and commercialization initiatives. The company was founded by CEO Mike Tung, who is also an advisor to the Stanford-StartX accelerator.
