Gilroy, California -- Communications electronics company Orion Labs has secured $9 million in new equity venture capital investment.
Orion has developed a "wearable communication accessory for instant voice conversations with as many people as you want, across any distance." The device is called Onyx and enables users to stay connected while their phone stays in their pocket. Investors in the financing included Avalon Ventures and Motorola Solutions Venture Capital. The company said it would use the new round of funding to fuel continue product innovation and its market expansion initiatives.
