
Santa Clara, California -- Alternative energy technology company Siva Power has secured $5 million in new equity venture capital investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.
Siva develops high efficiency, low cost solar cells that it says can "harvest energy from the entire solar spectrum. The efficiency of silica and at the cost of Cadmium Telluride."
Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
A total of six investors participated in the offering.
Siva is still seeking $4.5 million in additional equity investment, according to the filing.
