San Francisco, California  --  Education technology company Memorang has secured $500,000 in seed stage venture capital funding.

Memorang has developed a learning platform that it says is gamified, enabling users to learn in multiple modes including flashcards, matching and multiple-choice.

Individual investors Michael Kaine and Thomas Palacek made the investment.

The company said it would use the funding to expand its technology and premium content offerings.

Company CEO Yermie Cohen co-founded the firm in July 2013.
