Geli Gets $7 Million Series A Add-on

San Francisco, California  --  Alternative energy technology company Geli (Growing Energy Labs Inc.) has secured $7 million in additional Series A investment.

Geli "provides software and business solutions to design, connect and operate energy storage and micro-grid systems."

It is creating what it calls "The Internet of Energy Platform."

Shell Technology Ventures made the investment.

The company said it would use the funding to bring on more hardware vendors, build its energy analytics and aggregation capabilities and continue to scale is operations.

CEO Ryan Wartena has been with the firm since January 2008.
