Research Triangle Park, North Carolina -- Biotechnology company G1 Therapeutics has raised $47 million in new equity venture capital financing, according to an SEC regulatory filing.
G1 is developing small molecule therapies to address unmet needs in cancer treatments. The company has developed a proprietary kinase drug discovery platform to advance its pipeline of compounds and drug candidates. Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds. A total of 20 investors participated in the offering. G1 is still seeking $3 million in additional equity investment, according to the filing.
