Cambridge, Massachusetts -- Biotechnology company Daktari Diagnostics has landed $7 million in new equity venture capital funding, according to an amended SEC regulatory filing.
Daktari has developed a portable point of care diagnostic platform that includes built-in wireless conductivity and a cloud-based data management system. The device provides real-time information to help support global disease elimination programs. Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds. A total of 31 investors participated in the offering as amended. CEO Donald Hawthorne has been with the firm's in September 2015.
