Reston, Virginia -- SaaS provider CargoSense has garnered $816,000 in new equity venture capital financing, according to an SEC filing.
CargoSense has developed "supply chain intelligence that helps optimize logistics networks."
The company is primarily focused on the industries of healthcare, medical devices, food and other related industries that have complex supply chains and environmentally sensitive goods.
Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
A total of 24 investors participated in the offering as amended.
CEO Richard Kilmer has been with the firm since January 2013 and previously was VP R&D at LivingSocial.
