Laguna Hills, California -- Medical device technology company Sonendo has received $33.3 million in new equity venture investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.
Sonendo has developed a broad spectrum acoustic energy medical device that improves teeth cleaning for dental patients.
Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.
A total of 12 investors participated in the offering.
Sonendo is still seeking $11.7 million in additional financing, according to the filing.
The company is headed by president and CEO Bjarne Bergheim.
