However, we're not just committed to providing you with up-to-date information, we're also committed to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy outlines, among other items, the type of information we collect from Users about themselves, the type of information and the types of entities to whom we may disclose certain information about Users, how such information may be used, how Users can opt out, certain of Users' rights, steps that VentureDeal takes to protect your privacy, and the steps Users can take to update User information with VentureDeal or deactivate a User account.

If you have any questions about the privacy practices of VentureDeal or this Privacy Policy, please e-mail us.

Categories of personally identifiable information collected on Users while logged into

  • Name, street address and email address as provided by the User.
  • Credit card information provided by User, including name, number, expiration date and security code.

Every time you login to the VentureDeal website, VentureDeal will collect the following information:

  • A User's unique IP address upon login, in order to prevent multiple logins from a single User account email address and to protect the VentureDeal database from unauthorized use. VentureDeal does not track a User's individual actions onsite.

Use of your name and email address

If you sign up for free emails or a subscription to the database, VentureDeal will place your name and email address on the VentureDeal Distribution List in order that we may contact you with details about information concerning other products/services that we think might interest you.

We may also contact you by email or phone regarding your account with VentureDeal or to answer any of your inquiries.

If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. VentureDeal does not store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.

It is VentureDeal's policy not to share your personally identifiable information with any third parties other than the credit card processing company that we use to bill you for goods and services and the software programming and hosting service providers that we use to maintain the website in proper functioning order. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

Categories of third-party persons or entities with whom VentureDeal may share a User's anonymous information

Certain advertisers (or the companies that serve up advertisements on their behalf, collectively, "Advertisers") may track and store certain anonymous information (the "Anonymous Information") about the Users visiting VentureDeal.

Legal Disclaimer

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.

We use an outside credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

Service Providers

We use other third parties to provide software programming and hosting services on our site. When you sign up for email or a subscription, we will share your personally identifiable information on an as-needed basis as necessary for the third party to provide that service on our behalf. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

Categories of information gathered by such third party persons or entities

Although different Advertisers may collect different Anonymous Information, the information gathered generally includes such things as: (i) the anonymous cookie ID associated with the User's computer; (ii) portions of the User's Internet Protocol (IP) address that identify the User's domain name and the general geographical area in which the User is located; (iii) the particular ad(s) viewed by the User and the date, time and duration of that viewing; and (iv) whether the User clicked on an ad (or any information within it).

This anonymous tracking process does not reveal the User's personally identifiable information including name, phone number, mailing address, or e-mail address.

Purpose of gathering such information

The purpose of the tracking system is to show the Advertiser(s) how and when the User's computer moved to different ads on the site.

Unless the User voluntarily provides personally identifying information, for instance, by requesting that s/he be sent specifications on a particular product or service within the Advertiser's advertisement, the personal identity of the User will remain unknown to the Advertiser.

While VentureDeal does not control this process or have access to the information gathered by Advertisers on VentureDeal, we did want to make you aware of the practice.

Use of Anonymous Information

As a general rule, the anonymous tracking information from each User is bundled with that of other Users to create an overall usage summary for the ad(s) in question. This summary allows the Advertiser to better evaluate the reach and effectiveness of its ads, both from a content and placement perspective, such as by analyzing how many "hits" a particular ad receives.

Please note that, in certain instances, the Advertiser may also use the unbundled or individual results of this tracking to target specific products or service offerings to particular Users based on their individual usage patterns.
