Audax Health Nets $21 Million VC Financing

   Washington, DC  --  Healthcare information company Audax Health has raised $21 million in new venture capital investment, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Audax has developed a "digital engagement platform" that aims to help consumers better manage their health and insurers reduce costs.

The company has said that its "genesis" is more from the social networking and gaming disciplines in order to better incentivize individuals to more proactively take care of their health.

Investors in the financing were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

Audax is still seeking $24 million in additional venture capital, according to the filing.
