   Toronto, Canada  --  Mobile messaging service Class Messenger has received $1 million in new venture investment.

Class Messenger has created a private messaging service specifically for teachers, parents and students.

Corporate investor Scholastic made the investment.

The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
