New Rules for Software Venture Capital

Published: 4/30/2007 1:27:00 PM

I came across a thought-provoking article at VentureDeal partner Sandhill.com on the history and current state of software venture capital:

It is a fascinating article by William Janeway at Warburg Pincus about the various phases that funding software companies with venture capital has gone through, since it's inception in the 1960's.  It also illuminates the role and influence of public markets on the industry and the outlook for the near future.

Any thoughts or comments on it?
